Product details

Nano-Bau CONCRETE ARCHITECT Hydrophobic impregnation

NANO-BAU BETON ARCHITECT is an innovative product based on nanotechnology, which was created to protect surfaces made of high-density smooth concrete. This penetrating water impregnation is ideal for use on higher grade concretes such as C25, C30, C35. Thanks to its effectiveness, concrete surfaces are not only impregnated, but also strongly hydrophobized.

Thanks to the use of the NANO-BAU BETON ARCHITECT impregnation, water and other contaminants cannot penetrate the interior of the concrete surfaces. This, in turn, protects the substrates against the negative effects of salt, rain acids that lower the pH of concrete and other substances that may lead to reinforcement corrosion, cracks, erosion, moss growth or salt efflorescence. Moreover, thanks to this preparation, dirt does not remain on the concrete surface.

Hydrophobization of concrete surfaces also has a positive effect on the strength of concrete and its frost resistance. In the autumn and winter, frost may cause the moisture contained in the concrete to freeze, which leads to the formation of micro-stresses and micro-cracks and, consequently, to damage of the concrete. Thanks to the NANO-BAU BETON ARCHITECT impregnation, these problems are minimized.

It is also worth emphasizing that the impregnation does not limit the degree of concrete breathing. Thanks to this, the material can still breathe freely, which is important for maintaining its properties and durability.

The NANO-BAU BETON ARCHITECT impregnation penetrates up to several millimeters into the concrete structure, which ensures resistance to mechanical abrasion. Thanks to this preparation, it can be used on walls, floors and parking lots.

The conclusion is that NANO-BAU BETON ARCHITECT is an innovative and effective product that not only protects concrete surfaces, but also increases their strength and frost resistance. Thanks to this impregnation, concrete becomes more durable and resistant to weather conditions and other negative external factors.

APPLICATION METHODS:

Low pressure spray (HVLP or garden sprayer), roller, brush, immersion.

EFFICIENCY:

10-15m²/ per liter

Consumption depends on the application technique and the water absorption of the concrete.

PRODUCT APPLICATION:

  • walls and facades
  • parking lots and sidewalks
  • garden haberdashery and concrete structures
  • concrete slabs and floors
  • monuments, pots and other concrete products

FEATURES:

  • Protects concrete against efflorescence, dirt and algae growth
  • Does not change the appearance of concrete, does not grease
  • It does not slip and does not shine
  • Reduces the risk of moss and algae growth
  • Does not close pores - the substrate continues to "breathe"
  • Resistant to negative weather conditions, including UV radiation
  • It protects against the formation of salt efflorescence as a result of water migration inside the concrete

DIRECTIONS:

  • Plan the impregnation so that after its completion it does not rain for at least 3 hours. At the beginning, always test in an inconspicuous place and check if the effect is there
  • desirable!
  • Protect plants and all other surfaces not to be impregnated with foil, especially glass and steel. In case of contamination, clean these surfaces immediately with a wet cloth or rinse with water. The surface prepared for impregnation must be clean and dry.
  • It is best to apply the appropriate amount of the preparation on the surface by spraying, but so that the impregnation does not create streaks - apply only as much impregnation as the concrete is able to absorb, the excess should be spread with a brush or removed with a cloth. Leave to dry.

ATTENTION! Apply one or two coats but only wet on wet.

Tools should be rinsed with running water.

Architectural concrete is gaining popularity in construction due to its durability and aesthetics. However, to maintain these properties for a long time, appropriate protective impregnations must be used. For this purpose, we recommend the colorless NANO-BAU Beton Architekt impregnation, based on nanotechnology.

  • The NANO-BAU Concrete Architect impregnation penetrates several mm of the concrete surface, creating a hydrophobic barrier that protects the material against moisture and the growth of moss, algae and fungi. Impregnation keeps concrete in perfect condition for up to 8 years, which is especially important for frequently used surfaces, such as parking lots or garages.
  • NANO-BAU Concrete Architect gives a lotus effect, which means that it protects the concrete surface against easy penetration of various substances, such as acid rain, road salt dissolved in water, beverages and food dirt, soot or dust. Thanks to this, the concrete will be less susceptible to dirt, will not darken and will be easier to keep clean.
  • The NANO-BAU Concrete Architect impregnation is colorless and does not change the color, structure, slippage or gloss of the concrete surface. Thanks to this, the original beauty and finish of the architectural concrete is preserved. Even after impregnation, the surface remains matte and natural, which is an important advantage in the case of aesthetic architectural elements such as walls, facades, columns or floors.
  • NANO-BAU Concrete Architekt is an impregnation that is fully vapor permeable. This means that it allows for the natural exchange of water vapor between the concrete and the surroundings, which is particularly important in the case of structures that require an appropriate microclimate, such as utility rooms or historic buildings. Thanks to this property, concrete can breathe and remain healthier and more resistant to the development of toxic fungi.
  • NANO-BAU Concrete Architekt guarantees the maintenance of a dry wall, which is a key aspect in increasing the thermal insulation parameter in buildings. Minimizing the moisture content in building materials, maintaining good vapor permeability and preventing corrosion of reinforcement elements and erosion contribute to achieving better energy efficiency, thermal comfort and durability of the building.

To sum up, impregnation of architectural concrete with the colorless nanotechnology impregnation NANO-BAU Beton Architekt has many advantages. It provides protection against moisture, protection against dirt and microorganisms, maintaining thermal insulation and aesthetics of concrete, as well as full vapor permeability. Thanks to this, architectural concrete can retain its properties and aesthetics for longer, which makes it more durable and resistant to everyday operating factors.

FAQ – NANO-BAU CONCRETE ARCHITECT

  1. Basic product information

1.1 What is NANO-BAU BETON ARCHITECT?

This is an innovative water-based impregnation based on nanotechnology, designed to protect high-density concrete surfaces.

The product effectively impregnates and hydrophobises smooth concrete of classes C25, C30 and C35.

1.2 What surfaces can the impregnation be applied to?

The product is suitable for impregnation:

  • Concrete walls and facades
  • Parking lots and sidewalks
  • Garden accessories and concrete structures
  • Concrete slabs and floors
  • Monuments, flower pots and other concrete products

1.3 Does the impregnation change the appearance of the concrete?

No, NANO-BAU BETON ARCHITEKT is a colorless preparation that does not change the color, structure or gloss of the concrete surface.

Preserves the natural, matte appearance of concrete.

  1. Features and protection

2.1 What does the impregnation protect against?

The product protects concrete against:

  • Water and moisture ingress
  • Road salts and acid rain
  • Salt efflorescence
  • A growth of mosses, algae and fungi
  • Dirt and grime
  • Corrosion of reinforcement and micro-cracks

2.2 Is the impregnation vapor-permeable?

Yes, the product does not close the pores of the concrete – the substrate continues to “breathe”.

This allows for natural exchange of water vapor between the concrete and the environment.

2.3 How deep does the impregnation penetrate into the concrete?

Thanks to nanotechnology, the impregnation penetrates even several millimeters into the surface. This ensures resistance to mechanical abrasion and long-lasting protection.
