NANOSTONE ARCHITECTURAL CONCRETE Hydrophobic impregnation

Modern architecture increasingly reaches for architectural concrete, appreciating its aesthetics and durability. However, in order to maintain these features for many years, it is necessary to use appropriate protective measures. One of the most modern solutions in this field is the NANOSTONE hydrophobic impregnation, which uses nanotechnology for colorless protection of concrete surfaces.

Product characteristics:
NANOSTONE ARCHITECTURAL CONCRETE is an innovative hydrophobic impregnation designed to protect high-density architectural concrete. This product effectively impregnates and gives strong hydrophobic properties to surfaces made of concrete class C25, C30, C35. Thanks to the use of NANOSTONE, water and other contaminants do not penetrate the concrete structure, which significantly extends its life and maintains its aesthetic appearance.

Advantages of hydrophobization:
Hydrophobization of concrete surfaces is crucial for protecting the material from the harmful effects of external factors. It protects against the penetration of salts, acid rain and other substances that can accelerate corrosion of reinforcement, cause cracks or erosion. In addition, impregnation prevents the growth of mosses, algae and the formation of unsightly salt efflorescence.

Additionally, the use NANOSTONE ARCHITECTURAL CONCRETE improves the frost resistance of concrete, which is particularly important in low temperature conditions, when moisture freezing in the pores of concrete can lead to its damage.

Application method:
The application of NANOSTONE impregnation is possible by various methods – low-pressure spraying using HVLP equipment or a garden sprayer, as well as using a roller, brush or by immersion. Such diverse application methods allow for easy and effective use of the product by both professionals and amateurs.

Properties of NANOSTONE ARCHITECTURAL CONCRETE :

  • Protects against dirt, moss and algae growth
  • Strengthens the material and protects against freezing
  • Does not change the appearance of concrete - does not add shine or grease
  • Ensures safe use - does not cause slipping
  • Prevents the formation of salt and cement efflorescence
  • Maintains vapor permeability - does not block pores
  • Resistant to negative weather conditions and UV radiation
  • Effective operation for up to 5 years

Product applications include:

  • External walls and building facades,
  • Parking areas and sidewalks,
  • Elements of small garden architecture and various concrete structures,
  • Concrete slabs and industrial floors,
  • Monuments, flowerpots and other prefabricated concrete products.

Product properties:

  • Protection of concrete against efflorescence, dirt and algae growth.
  • Maintaining the natural appearance of concrete without the greasy effect.
  • No effect on increased slip and no glossing effect.
  • Reducing the risk of moss and algae growth.
  • Permeability – the material retains the ability to “breathe”.
  • Resistance to negative atmospheric factors, including UV radiation.
  • Protection against salt efflorescence caused by water migration in concrete.

Impregnation Use Instructions:

1. Planning the impregnation:

  • Make sure there will be no rain for at least 3 hours after impregnation.

2. Carrying out the test:

  • Before starting the impregnation, perform a test on an inconspicuous part of the surface to check whether the effect is as expected.

3. Preparing the workplace:

  • Protect plants and other elements that should not be impregnated with foil, especially glass and steel.
  • If these surfaces become dirty, clean them immediately with a wet cloth or rinse with water.
  • Make sure that the surface to be impregnated is clean and dry.

4. Application of impregnation:

  • Apply the impregnation by spraying in an amount appropriate to the absorbency of the concrete, avoiding the formation of streaks.
  • Apply excess impregnation with a brush or remove with a cloth.
  • Allow the surface to dry.

5. Application method:

  • Apply one or two coats of impregnation, but apply the second coat using the wet-on-wet technique without waiting for the first one to dry.

6. Cleaning tools:

  • After finishing the work, wash the tools under running water.
