Specialchem Impregnation for brick, clinker, roof tiles and absorbent ceramics.

Nanotechnology colorless impregnation based on water and dedicated to unglazed bricks, unglazed clinker, unglazed ceramic roof tiles, hand-formed bricks, pots and ceramic products and other elements made of absorbent ceramics (unglazed). It also impregnates joints.

The impregnation penetrates into the brick even up to 8mm, protecting it from dirt, rain and other harmful factors. The product is dedicated to use on building facades, fences, cut brick tiles, brick walls, floors, roofs, basements and walls inside buildings.

The impregnation gently hardens the surface, gives hydrophobic and STAY-CLEAN properties - which effectively and for many years protects the surface against dirt penetration, erosion and stains. For use both indoors and outdoors.

Product application:

  • unglazed brick and hand-formed brick
  • unglazed ceramic tile
  • absorbent clinker - unglazed
  • unglazed brick and clinker tiles
  • pots and other non-glazed ceramic products

Efficiency:
10-15m²/1l – consumption depends on the application technique and the absorbency of the substrate.

Durability: about 5 years

Instruction:

Caution, do not apply on a very hot surface.

The product is ready to use! Do not dilute with water or other substances.
Best applied by spraying. HVLP gun or garden sprayer.

It is recommended to use protective glasses and gloves.

Plan the impregnation so that after its completion it does not rain for at least 3 hours. At the beginning, always test in an inconspicuous place and check if the effect is desired!

Protect plants and all other surfaces not to be impregnated with foil, especially glass and steel. In case of contamination, clean these surfaces immediately with a wet cloth or rinse with water. The surface prepared for impregnation must be clean and dry.

Before impregnating the entire surface, make a test in an inconspicuous place to check whether the effect is desired.

It is best to apply the appropriate amount of the preparation on the surface by spraying, but not too much, so that the impregnation does not create streaks (only as much impregnation as the surface is able to absorb), the excess should be spread with a brush or removed with a cloth. Leave to dry.

ATTENTION! Apply one or two coats but only wet on wet. Tools should be rinsed with running water.

Safety and storage: Protect from frost. Follow basic health and safety rules. Keep the product tightly closed and out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact of the preparation with skin and eyes. Before use, it is recommended to read the technical data sheet of the preparation. Store in the temperature range 0-35°C

It is worth impregnating brick surfaces for several reasons:

  • Protection against moisture: Brick, especially when improperly protected, can absorb moisture, which may lead to the formation of fungi, mold, the development of moss and algae, a reduction in the degree of thermal insulation (wet brick is a heat conductor, not an insulator) and a weakening of the structure. Impregnating the brick surface with a hydrophobic impregnation creates a barrier that repels water and prevents it from penetrating the brick structure. This works especially effectively in the case of rain, snow and other atmospheric factors that can lead to moisture penetrating inside the brick.
  • Protection against pollution: Impregnation of the surface provides protection against pollution. Brick is susceptible to stains from various sources, such as plants, rain with dissolved soot, chemicals or smog. The hydrophobic impregnation hinders the penetration of these substances, which makes it easier to keep the brick surface clean and prevents damage and discoloration.
  • Improving durability: Waterproofing a brick surface can significantly improve its durability. It acts as an additional protective layer that protects the brick surface from the harmful effects of external factors such as frost, UV radiation, deposition of airborne particles and all kinds of pollution. Impregnation increases the brick's resistance to destruction, cracks, peeling and erosion, which extends its service life.
  • Aesthetics: An impregnated brick surface can also improve its aesthetic appearance. A hydrophobic coating can give the brick a more uniform and pure color and depth. At the same time, it protects it against darkening caused by the action of microflora. Impregnated brick looks fresh and attractive for many years.
